Aaso Karim
Damage Technician, Almedal
Aaso Karim has worked at Bilia since the turn of the millennium. And since 2010 his profession has been damage technician. He thinks the best aspect his job is the variety of tasks and the expert knowledge the profession provides. And he likes to share his knowledge when his colleagues have questions.
"As a damage technician, I work with sheet metal, mechanics, troubleshooting — all kinds of things. That's what makes it so enjoyable. It’s about every aspect of the car. And it never gets boring. Every day, I learn new things since every damage is completely different."
Tomas Fohlin
Auto paint technician, Eskilstuna
Tomas Fohlin began working as an auto paint technician at Bilia around 2010. After working for another employer, he returned to Bilia eight years later. However, his journey to his current line of work started much earlier than that.
"My father was an auto paint technician. I got to help out a bit during school breaks, and he became a role model for me. I thought, 'This is cool. This is what I want to do.'"
Compared to other employers in the industry, Tomas believes that Bilia stands out in terms of organization and structure.
"That's why I came back to Bilia. Here, there's a sense of leadership behind all the processes — from inventory management to the workshop. At the same time, we also have a lot of freedom with responsibility, and I really enjoy that."

Louise’s favourite aspect of the job is meeting customers and having the chance to offer the best possible service . But she thinks the personnel are just as important.
“It should be fun to go to work, and satisfied co-workers mean happy, satisfied customers. I like to know how my colleagues are doing and we have a close, relaxed relationship.”
Stojan Padjen,
Deputy CEO, Bilia Personbilar Sweden
Stojan started out as a mechanic in Sävedalen in 1987. After a little over ten years as a mechanic, he was made foreman and could develop his leadership skills with a course in business acumen at IHM Business School. He never envisioned being Deputy CEO and Regional Director 20 years down the road.
“I certainly never saw that coming, although I don’t think it’s that big a thing. That’s the great thing about Bilia: if you put in the effort, you get noticed and rewarded. If you’re prepared to commit yourself, you can go the whole way.”
